JUDGE TRAINING For LONG TERM PROBLEMS: February 10th via Zoom.  Inland Empire Regional Tournament: Saturday March 2nd Moreno Valley HS.

Each team provides a judge who will attend training and also who will judge at the tournament in the long term competition. We welcome judges from past tournaments!

We will provide a lunch for judges only (not family or teams) at the tournament.

The JUDGE TRAINING schedule for February 10th is virtual:

10am: Meet and Greet then general judge training followed by problem-specific training.

Details of your judging schedule and arrival time for the day long tournament will be given to you during your Breakout session with your Problem Captain.  There are 10 to 15 different judging schedules.  Some start early (8:30) some start mid morning.  Most will end by 3:30.  But they can go as late as 5:30 depending on how many teams we have register. Award Ceremony is usually at 6:30 but will likely be earlier.  Watch for a definite announcement as the time draws near.  Stay tuned to your email for more details!

Please understand that you will not be placed as a judge in a Problem where your child/relative is performing. You will not be able to see your child/relative perform so encourage them to hold a Dress Rehearsal before the tournament for you!  

Also know that: 

1. Judges do not rank teams; they evaluate problem solutions based on given criteria.
2. Judges record what they observe. 
3. Judges are trained to encourage and praise team members.
4. You will have a lot of fun!
