We simply cannot hold a tournament without our Judges. A Regional Tournament can require 80+ Officials. In order to maintain a fair and even playing field, ALL Officials are required to attend training.

Judges will be assigned to their Role and Problem prior to training to ensure all roles and problems are covered. Relations to team members will be taken into consideration when assigning official and judging roles.

All Officials will be provided with lunch on tournament day. Judging panels will dress in themed costumes to be decided at training - remember, this should be fun for all! This year's panels themes will be different types of "stars". Officials are not guaranteed to see their own children’s performances.

Each team is required to supply ONE judge who must be registered by December 15, 2023 as part of tournament registration. Any team provided judge who does not show to Judges Training or the Tournament could incur a $100 fine and a 25-point penalty for the team.

To waive Judge & Worker Requirements, a $100 fee must be paid directly to the Manatee Region. Please contact the Regional Director at ManateeRD@floma.org to arrange to pay this fee.

I am committed to judging the entire tournament day and understand I likely will not be able to see other teams perform.
On Tournamend Day, judges duties will begin as early as 6:00 AM and end as late as 5:30 PM.
I understand I must attend Mandatory Judges trainings.
I understand that once I am trained, I am committed to judge since a replacement cannot be trained prior to tournament. Should I not show for tournament, my affiliated team may incur a 25 point penalty and $100 fine.
