OMER's Award Winners
The OMER's Award is given to teams and individuals for showing Odyssey spirit. This includes teams and team members, or anyone involved with World Finals. It can be someone who showed some type of artistic talent, good sportmanship, teamwork, or even for going beyond expectations to help others. An OMER's Award is given to anyone who serves as an outstanding example of Odyssey spirit through their words or actons.

Southlake Carroll Schools
Southlake, Texas
Problem 2 Return to The Gift of Flight & Problem 5 Food Court
Nomination:
This team competed in two longterm problems, two spontaneous problems, and volunteered to work in the Spontaneous Holding Room. Its exceptional enthusiasm entertained its peers and encouraged other teams to perform well. Team members engaged everyone - making sure to include the younger and international teams. In addition, team members helped the Spontaneous Judges keep up the flow of the competition and lifted everyone's spirits.

Savannah Arts Academy
Savannah, Georgia
Problem 4 Column Structure Division III
Nomination:
While rushing to catch a shuttle to weigh-in, a team dropped part of its structure. This team saw it fall and rushed to catch the shuttle, but just missed it. Knowing the piece's importance, they ran to Column Structure's site and returned it in time - even though it was for a competing team. This showed true Odyssey of the Mind spirit by going the extra mile and helping fellow competitors.

Mercer Middle School Team A
Aldie, Virginia
Problem 2 Return to The Gift of Flight Division II
Nomination:
When its buddy team's props and costumes were stranded in Paris, France this team and its parents assisted above and beyond the call of duty. It took its buddy team shopping for supplies, found donations, and requested tools from others to help the buddy team that was also a competitor. This team and its parents donated time, money, and resources to assist a fellow team in true Odyssey fashion.
