Redwood Tournament
Judge Registration

Redwood Region Tournament
February 24, 2018

Santa Rosa High School
1235 Mendocino Avenue
Santa Rosa, CA 95401

Thank you for signing up to JUDGE at our tournament which is on February 24th this year.  We appreciate you making this big time commitment for our Redwood teams.

If you reached this page by error, and want to sign up at the tournament as the team's VOLUNTEER, go to our Redwood website and use the Sign Up Genius link.

Judges are required to attend:

  • Judges Training: Two to choose from! Feb. 3 In Santa Rosa  or Feb. 10 In San Rafael (location TBD). You must be trainied by the Problem Captaini at one of these two trainings. NO EXCEPTIONS FOR LONG-TERM JUDGES. . New judges arrive by 9:00 A.M., and experienced judges need to arrive by 11:00 P.M.. The training will end around  2:30. Lunch will be provided. Indicate which training you will attend.
  • Tournament Day: This is an ALL DAY commitment. Judges will often need to arrive at the tournament around 7:00-7:30 A.M. and not leave until after the last team in their problem performs, usually around 5:00 P.M.
  • New for 2017-2018, State Finals: Judges fulfilling the team requirement must be available to judge at the State Finals ion March 24 at UC Riverside.

By being a JUDGE for Odyssey of the Mind, you are the face that team members see and YOU represent the program.  So please SMILE when talking with team members and maintain a FRIENDLY ATTITUDE throughout the entire tournament.

If you are a parent of a team member competing at our tournament, you may NOT sign up to judge the same problem in which your child is competing.  You will need to know the name of your child's problem, their school membership name, and the membership number during this registration process.  It is highly unlikely that you will have the opportunity to see your child's performance at the tournament.

We need ACCURATE INFORMATION during registration.  The email listed should be the JUDGE's EMAIL, not the coach's or the school coordinator's email.  Please use the best contact phone number that can be used on the day of the tournament; cell phone numbers are preferred. We also need the correct T-shirt size for the judge.  All judges receive a free Official's t-shirt as our appreciation for your commitment and service at our tournament.  These shirts must be worn on tournament day to help identify the judges.

Best Regards,
Bob Lipman & Cathy Parker
