Odyssey of the Mind Competition

Nearly 500 North Country students put their problem solving skills to work at the Odyssey of the Mind competition in Watertown.

Seventy teams competed by solving spontaneous problems or presenting their solutions to problems they've worked on the past few months.

The kids said even though they had to learn about a lot of different subjects to prep for the event, the most important thing they've learned was how to work as a team.

"You try to work together as much as you can, try to accomplish as much as you can in the short time you have to get it all ready," says student Dalton Jones.

The winners will battle it out at the state competition in Binghamton.

That takes place at the end of this month.
