World Finals Hightlights

The Odyssey of the Mind 2007 Spirit Award Recipient is Wayne Kehrli whose 25 years of service to OotM has enabled countless children to explore their creativity. Among other activities throughout the program, his 17 years as International Problem Captain for Problem 1 have left a huge impact on many people around the world.

The 2007 Creativity Award Goes to Whitwell Middle School, TN -- especially Principal Linda Hooper and Teacher Sandra Roberts for their work creating "The Paper Clip Project." This innovative lesson took students on a journey of understanding of the Holocaust, it brought people together from varying cultures and regions, and even helped raise awareness to people around the world by inspiring an award-winning documentary about the project.
