C-C Odyssey of the Mind competition is March 5 More than 2,500 participants, judges and spectators are expected at the 2011 Rochester Regional Competition of Odyssey of the Mind hosted by the Churchville-Chili Central School District from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, March 5. Teams from districts across the county will compete in this international problem-solving competition aimed at promoting creativity and teamwork for students in kindergarten through college. Competitions will be spread throughout the district’s campus at 139 Fairbanks Road. Seven teams from Churchville Elementary School and Churchville-Chili Middle School have been meeting at least once a week since October to develop skits and performances, construct structures that will hold hundreds of pounds and to create motorized vehicles designed to complete specific tasks that solve their chosen problems. | More Articles | |
