Great minds think alike

By Jennifer Hensley
When it comes to academics, creativity and skill at Holley-Navarre Intermediate School, great minds think alike.

Fourteen fifth and sixth-grade students from HNIS competed - and won - at the Odyssey of the Mind competition in Fort Walton Beach on Feb. 27.

Though it was the team's first year competing, sponsor Linda Matthews said she never doubted their ability - but she was realistic about their chances for success.

"You're always hopeful that you will (do well), but when you start something, you know that's your learning year so your expectations may not be as high," she said. "But these are an amazing group of kids. They've just accomplished so much."
