B8b - Green targets and white obstacles: These must all be the same shape, size, and composition (made of the same materials). They must be placed on the floor inside the 6" jousting squares as shown in Figure A and all be in the same orientation. They are not allowed to touch anything but the floor.

B8b(1) - Knocked over: A target is considered knocked over if only the lance impacts it and causes it to come to rest on any side. It must rest on the floor. It is allowed to partially rest on another target or obstacle that has been knocked over. An obstacle is considered knocked over if is no longer upright or it is moved outside of its square. Nothing is allowed to control how targets and obstacles move when they are impacted during the joust.
Update 9/27: To be clear, the rules for being considered "knocked over" are different for targets and obstacles. A target must be impacted and knocked onto its side to qualify. Obstacles are considered knocked down if they are knocked onto their side - in any way - or if they are moved outside of their area in any way.

B8a - The Ball traveling in Curling: The ball must travel on only momentum once it breaks the plane of the Red line. It is not allowed to have any internal or external guidance or propulsion. The ball must remain a fixed size and be able to fit completely inside a 12" square box at all times.

B8a(1) & (4) The ball: The ball must travel across the floor on contact points that rotate as they travel. Incidental separation between the floor surface and ball contact points is allowed.

B8c - Traveling the Track (forward and reverse segments): The trips traveling forward and in reverse are separate segments within the Track event and are scored separately. To complete the first segment, the vehicle must begin from entirely behind the Start Line, travel the course, then break the plane of the Finish Line to be eligible to attempt the second segment for score. While traveling the second segment, the vehicle must face the same direction it did when it traveled the first segment. That is, it is not allowed to turn or be turned in any other direction. To complete the second segment, the vehicle must begin from entirely behind the Finish Line, travel the course following the same path as the first segment, then break the plane of the Start Line.

B8b - Green targets and white obstacles: As stated in General Clarification #1 (issued September 20, 2017), the composition of targets and obstacles must be the same. Composition includes materials used in construction, overall weight, and weight distribution. Color is the only allowable difference between the green targets and white obstacles. This amends Clarification #1, it does not supersede it.

B6f - The vehicle: The vehicle must be self-contained when it travels for Triathlon Event score. As further detailed in B7d, riders on the vehicle must be completely supported by, and traveling along with the vehicle. This prohibits team members on the vehicle from directly pushing off anything, including the floor, with their feet or other body parts.

B8a(1) & (4) and Clarification #4 - The ball: The ball must travel across the floor on contact points that rotate in the direction of travel as the ball travels (rolling motion like a ball). The contact points are not allowed to remain in constant contact with the floor (sliding motion like a puck). Incidental separation between the floor surface and ball contact points is allowed.
